William Byron Shields Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2022, at the age of 94, William Byron Shields of Wellsville, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Taylor and Ethel Adeline Shields (Clay); his sons, Allen and Lyle; his brother Jim; and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Shields.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Anne "Patsy" Turner; his daughter Lynda; his children-in-law, Jim Keesling and Vada Shields of Henryville, IN; and his grandchildren, Melinda Sudweeks (Tim) of Brooklyn, NY, Matthew Shields (Angela) of Henryville, IN, Erika Given (Shawn) of Shawnee, KS and William Shields of Oregon. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wellsville City Library in care of Wilson's, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
