She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Petersen and Elsa Petersen; her sister Elizabeth Gryzan; and her stepsons, Toby Watts and Richard Watts.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Betty White of Margate, Peggy Steffen of Richmond, Karen Fishburn of Lawrence and Bonnie Pedrow of Ottawa; and her brother Karl Werner Petersen of Hamburg, Germany. She is also survived by sixteen step grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
