He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Frances Berniece Coons (Meyers); and his brother Nathan Coons. He is survived by: his children, Kim Coons of Paola and Jason Coons of Paola; his stepsons, David McPherson (Kim) of Lawrence and Dustin Haas (Aleshka) of Wellsville; his siblings, Claudia Bivins (Terry) of Lebo, KS, Linda Fritzshall (Randy), Clyde Coons (Debbie) of Wellsville, Kevin Coons (Teri) of Wellsville and Curt Coons (Cheryl) of Overland Park; his grandchildren, Keagan Jones, Ashlee Worthy, Cailyn Carter, Ashton Coons, Kendall Jones, Alexa King, Jordyn Coons, Jaydyn Coons and Leigha Coons; and his great grandchildren, Alyx and Lily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
