It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Edna Whalen of Wellsville, Kansas, born in Huntington Park, California, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward C. Slike and Joyce E. Slike (Porterfield); her brothers, Richard Johnson and Charles Slike; and her great grandchild Brex Whalen.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Wayne Whalen; her sons, Robert W. Whalen, Jr. (Dawn) of Wellsville, John W. Whalen of Wellsville and Wayne E. Whalen (Dawn) of Olathe; her grandchildren, Ryan, Rachael, Zachary, Kristina, Daniel, Joseph, Rebekah, Matthew, Aaron, Travis, Tiffany, Taylor, Brooke and Dayton; her great grandchildren, Jazlene, Paizley, Hadley and Grady; and her brothers, James Belcher and Barry Johnson. She is also survived by loving grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.
