He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Dorsey and Bette Dorsey (Moore); his brother Jonathan Dorsey; and his nephew Justin Dorsey. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lee Claerhout; his children, Brent Dorsey (Laura) of Wellsville, Bryan Dorsey (Nancy) of Olathe and Jill Hall (Kevin) of Olathe; his siblings, Susan Wilson, William Dorsey (Louise), Mike Dorsey (Marsha), Phil Dorsey (Claudia), Mary Ellen Waltemire (Chuck), Rick Dorsey (Carol) and Joe Dorsey (Joni); and his grandchildren, Jimmy, Willie, Pete, Liam, Finley, Ellen, Cooper, Dax, Fiona, Jonah, Fletcher and Zeke.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Ottawa Sacred Heart Catholic School c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
