With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Rose Rowan (Wellington, Kansas), born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Violet Rose Rowan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Royal Horace Sr. Palmer and Etta Ruth Palmer; her siblings, Roberta Palmer, Henrietta Reheard, Brig Gen Raymond Palmer and Roy Palmer Jr.; her daughter-in-law Linda Rowan; and her grandsons, Travis and Robert Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Mindy Evans (Stan), Dwight Rowan and Rick Rowan (Elaine); and her sister Viola Patterson. She is also survived by grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Calvary Fellowship (305 N Jefferson Ave, Wellington, KS 67152).
Memorial contributions can be given in her name and memory to Grace Calvary Fellowship or to the Wellington Humane Society.
