He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Davis and Odessa Davis (Shepherd); his wife Helen Davis (Yates); and his siblings, Pauline Hilt (Davis), Floyd Davis and Delores Sturgeon (Davis).

He is survived by: his former wife Irene Davis (Yates); and his daughter Margaret. He is also survived by his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and many other relatives.

He was a director of the Great Plains Diabetes charity and the Diabetes Foundation of Kansas.
