He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Hull Koerner and Sharon Ann Stocking (Watson); and his stepfather Gary Stocking. He is survived by: his brother Kendall Koerner (Ashley) of Wellington; his nephews, Drake, Kolten and Rayce Koerner; and his niece Alyra Koerner.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society.
