He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Bauer and Mary Bauer; and his children, Donna Furman and Mark Arnett. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ping of Wellington, Kansas; his children, Michael Bauer (Cindy) of Wellington, Kansas, Michelle Havner (Lonnie) of Wellington, Kansas and Priscilla Goodman (Ray) of Boerne, Texas; and his grandchildren, Andrew Bauer (Bailey), Joshua Bauer, Lars Bergman, Travis Bergman, Brandon Hartzell (Daniel) and Eddy Goodman. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
