She was predeceased by: her parents, Anderson F. Houser and Kathlyn Houser (Kirkland); and her sister Pauline McCleary. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Dawson (Linda) of Wellington, Kansas and Harold Dawson (Jude) of Wellington; and her grandchildren, Heather Cramer (Tim) of Wellington, Dustin Dawson (Crystal) of Derby, Shanna Alexander (Travis) of Wellington, Danny Dawson (Amber) of Wellington, Derek Dawson of Wellington, Samantha Dawson of Wellington, Devin Dawson (Hannah) of Augusta, Heather Norris (Timothy) of Wellington, Geoff Elkins (Kelsey) of Wichita, Shellye Weber (Clint) of Wellington, Jennie Horinek (Greg) of Schulte and Darin Pinion (Bekah) of Arkansas City, Kansas. She is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established in her name with the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation.
