It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Elena Ramirez of Wellington, Kansas, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otilio Sandoval Lopez and Maria Sandoval Sierra; her husband Joe E. Ramirez; her daughter Patricia Kathleen Ramirez Duty; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Elena.
She is survived by: her children, Alicia Bustraan (Neil), Marco Antonio Ramirez of Wichita, Kansas, Thalia Ortega (Salvador) of Greeley, Colorado and Renee Gibbs of Wichita, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Alexander Ortega, Joshua Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, Tori Ortega and Diego Ortega. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and a great- great grandson.
