She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Horace S. Yates; her children, J. Michael Yates, Dayle Harris and Millie Jo Saunders; her grandchildren, Cara Jean Melvin, Cally Jo Gowers, Brett Harris, Bart Harris, Marcie Peyton, Molly Harris-Wilson, Katie Buresh and Mitchell Johnson; and her mother Josephine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Chisholm Trail Museum or the Wellington Public Library.
