He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bernard and Opal Pauline Riggs (Brown); and his brother James Melvin Riggs. He is survived by: his wife Faye Riggs (McMillin) of Wellington, Kansas; his children, Janet Hamlin (Richard) of Wellington and David Riggs (Lisa) of Wellington, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Patrick Hamlin (Rebecca) of Sebastian, Amber Riggs (Jared) of Danville, Nathan Riggs (Lori) of Wichita, Kimberly Riggs (Chris) of Wellington and Jacob Riggs (Faith) of Wellington; his great grandchildren, Colby Irey, Alivia Irey, Julien Riggs, Adalyn Irey, Hattie Row, Haven Row, Greyson Riggs, Dalton Hamlin, Gabby Riggs, Barrett Row, Aliza McCaslin, Beckett Riggs, Caleb McCaslin, Grey Riggs and Dawson Bohnert; his nephew Jim Riggs (Margaret); and his niece Kathie Contreraz (Paul). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be given in his name to Good Shepherd Hospice or the Wellington Public Library (Children's Library). Donations can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
