He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane "Bo" and Wanda Heter (Kile). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Heter of Wellington, Kansas; his daughters, Fracia Bontempo (Mark) of Fresno, California, Mandi Santana (Harry) of Wellington, Kansas, Kimmi Yarbrough (Mark) of Dumas, Texas and Becky Ayers (Megan) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his siblings, Dennis Heter (Linda) of Rogers, Arkansas and Linda Prochaska (Paul) of Caldwell; and his granddaughters, Lizzy and Ava Santana of Wellington, Kansas..
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the Sons of the American Legion.
