He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Wingfield and Ona Wingfield; his wife Barbara Hubbard; his children, William (Vickie) of Wellington and Diane Wingfield (David Nixon) of Los Altos, California.; his grandchildren, Amy Lyle (Jonathan) of Santa Rosa, Elizabeth Oldag (Andrew) of Bellevue, Vanessa and Aaron Wingfield of Wellington; his great grandchildren, Camden, Marian Lyle, Autumn and Penelope Oldag; his stepgrandchildren, Mike Nixon (Becky) and Kate Beck (Jim); and also, Ana, Alex, Robby, Josie and Rory.

A memorial has been established with Lutheran Hour Ministries.
