He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Ybarra (Arebalo) and Pedro Ybarra. He is survived by: his children, Courtney Stuart (Todd) of Wichita, Kansas, Adam Ybarra (Krista) of Wichita, Kansas, Elliott Ybarra (Erin) of Wichita, Kansas and Patrick Ybarra of Wichita; his grandchildren, Tyler Stuart, Reese, Brecken, Hollis and Sutton Ybarra; and his siblings, Mary Stearns (Brent) of Wellington and Michael Cottle of Bakersfield, California..

A memorial has been established in his name and loving memory with the Avenue of Flags.
