It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Lauterbach of Wellington, Kansas, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Neel A. Lauterbach and Dorothy May Lauterbach (Morrell); and his sister Joni Walton (Lauterbach). He is survived by: his niece Amy Kearney; his great-niece Elizabeth Meaders; his niece Jessica Tuten; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jacob and Teyha; his niece Carley Lucas (Scott); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor Ward, Dannielle and Ashlynn Lucas; his godson Matthew Tompkins (Jessica); his friends, Larry, Patricia Tompkins, David, Jeanette Graves, Scotland, Billy, Lisa Harris, Dr. Walter Dembitsky and Dr. Phillip Dembitsky; and also, Ely, Ryder James (RJ), Heath Tompkins (Andrea), Kylie and Henry Benjamin (HB).
A memorial has been established with the Bryce Day Memorial Foundation in lieu of flowers.
