He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burkey and Margie Burkey. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Burkey; his son Robert Burkey (Nikki); his grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jacob; and his siblings, Barbara Klampe (Jim) and John Burkey (Jean).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of James, memorial contributions may be made to the Freewill Baptist Church or to Victory in the Valley.
