He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Arthur Deffenbaugh and Margaret Lynn Deffenbaugh (Miller); his wife Lila Deffenbaugh; his children, Carolyn Ancell and Dave Deffenbaugh; his son-in-law Rick Moore; his grandchildren, Troy Moore, Gina Ancell and Abby Gail King; his stepgranddaughter Judy Bell Ancell; and his siblings, Wendell, Raymond, David Deffenbaugh, Opal Deffenbaugh, Maxine Kline and Kathleen Ohnemiller Bedwell.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Deffenbaugh (Debby) of Benton, KS, Cathy McKinney (Duane) of Washington, OK and Ann Pierce (Ross) of Enid, OK; his sister Margaret Head of Toney, AL; and his grandchildren, James Moore of Wellington, KS, Sofie Lawless (Greg) of Derby, KS, Andy King (Heather) of Washington, OK, Ryan Deffenbaugh (Staci) of Wichita, KS, Carie Luethje of Tulsa, OK, Rachel Phillips (Adam) of Wichita, KS and Jace Deffenbaugh (Danielle) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Church of Christ in lieu of flowers.
