She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mathias and Ernestine Neises (Schwenker); her husband Reitzel Howard Zimmerman; and her siblings, Theodore, Jim, Albert, Ed, Louise, Helen and Pat.
She is survived by: her siblings, John of Geuda Springs, KS, Betty Smith (Maynard) of Scranton, KS, Vivian Ward (Truman) of Topeka, KS and Beverly Scobee (Don) of Belle Plaine, KS; her children, Mary Louise Mele of Hoffman Estates, IL, Lindley (Sheila) of Belle Plaine, KS, Howard (Glenda) of Belle Plaine, KS, Dennis (Deborah) of Belle Plaine, KS, Debora Brettell Odor (Clark) of Columbia, MO, Theresa Johnson (Rusty) of Wichita, KS, Chris (Cristy) of Valley Center, KS and Tim (Catherine) of Wellington, KS; her son-in-law John E. Brettell; her granddaughter-in-law Stormie B. Zimmerman; her grandchildren, Tina Ruth and Lindley John; and her great grandchild Cadance Marie. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
Due to COVID-19 and associated church restrictions, a private Rosary and private Funeral Mass will both be held at St. Anthony - St. Rose Catholic Church in Wellington, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established in her name with The Lords Diner, Priest Retirement & Education Fund (PREF) and Good Shepherd Hospice.
