He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Davis Sr. and Mildred Hartshorn; and his brothers, John and Danny Davis. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Leist; his daughters, Jerri Colett Ellis (Shawn) of Weir and Jillian McCann (Sam) of Arma, Kansas; his stepdaughters, Paula Hubert (Kevin) of Frontenac and Laura Earl (Jared) of Mindenmines, Missouri; his brothers, Melvin Davis Jr. (Josephine) of Mulberry, Tim Davis and Larry Davis of Arizona; and his pet Button. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SEK Humane Society; these may be sent to the funeral home at 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.
