We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2021, at the age of 89, Margaret M Smokewood of Weir, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Simpson and Evelyn Montgomery Simpson; her brothers, Robert and Dick; and her daughter Dr. Elaine Smokewood.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Smokewood; her daughter Cathleen Stahmer (Ken) of Augusta, KS; and her granddaughter Sara Swift (Tyler) of Augusta, KS.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic there will be private graveside services at Lone Elm Cemetery in Cherokee County, KS.
Memorials are welcomed to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Harry Hynes Hospice in care of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Weir, KS 66781.
