She was predeceased by: her parent Thressa; her brother Lowell Platt; and her grandchild Angel McCurry. She is survived by: her husband Steve McCurry; her children, Laura Schultz (Allen) and Lance McCurry (Shani); her grandchildren, Heather Hanks (Walter), Kalee Ikerd (Lane), Mason McCurry and Rylee McCurry; her great grandchildren, Walter Hanks, Banner Hanks, Kennedy Ikerd, Scott Ikerd and Nash Ikerd; and her sister-in-law Elaine Platt.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Waverly First Responders or Coffey County Cancer Support Group and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home.
