Betty Van Schaick Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Van Schaick of Waverly, Kansas, who passed away on March 28, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Mckinstry and Helen Mckinstry; her daughter Toni Lynn Van Schaick; her brothers, James and Homer McKinstry; and her brother-in-law Leo Vaughn.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Poire (Dave) of Waverly Kansas and Jim Van Schaick (Anita) of Halstead; her sisters, Shirley Vaughn and Carol Williams (Larry); her sister-in-law Mary Jo McKinstry; her grandchildren, Katie VanSchaick, Hillary Schrag (Ginnell) and Keith Unruh (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Heriberto Rodriguez, Dahlia Frederick, Kaida Schrag, Kaleb, Noah, Alyssa, Ciera Unruh and Alex Alexander; and her extended family, Hanni Werner (Kurt), Dawn Mesa (Chris) and Dennis Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Burlington Animal Shelter or the Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue Ranch, Junction City, Kansas, and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
