She is survived by: her son Jerry Slaughter (Rita) of Plano; her grandchildren, Tim, Jason, Jacee, Brendan, Madison and Jackson; her daughter Nelita Newton (Wallace) of Wathena; her grandchildren, Shannon Diggs (Bryan) and Cody Guess (Talia); her great grandchildren, Ariel Steinlage, Austin Diggs, Brody Guess and Brayden Guess; and her brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Schmille (Bette) of Amazonia and Claude "Pug" Schmille (Kay) of Hiawatha, Kansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
