With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip A. Benitz of Wathena, Kansas, who passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Philip leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Benitz and Anna Benitz (Philipp). He is survived by: his children, Carol Stovall (Chip) of Overland Park and Greg Benitz (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Maxwell Benitz Crumrin, Charlie and Anna Stovall; and his brother Danny Benitz (Patsy) of Jefferson. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Harman Rohde Funeral Home (310 Fremont St, Wathena, KS 66090). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Funeral Harman Rohde Funeral Home (310 Fremont St, Wathena, KS 66090).
