She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Theis and Marcella A. Theis (Boeh); her husband Dr. Evan Peterson; her brother-in-law Norman Stiverson; her niece Charlotte Adiar; her nephew Darryl Howard; and her great-niece Heather Brumback.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Diane Newton, Judith Horsch (William), Evan A. Peterson III, Eric Peterson, Karen Conger (Brad) and Sheryl Chambers; her siblings, Joan Stiverson, Rita Howard (Butch), Charlene O'Callaghan (Mike) and Larry Theis (Joyce); and her sister-in-law Julia Burham. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM and from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home (310 Fremont St, Wathena, KS 66090). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (104 S 7th St, Wathena, KS 66090).
