It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Joan Paden of Wathena, Kansas, born in Elwood, Kansas, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Forbes and Edith Forbes (Wilson); her husband Bill Paden; and her siblings, Russell "Eddie" Forbes, Virginia Sheridan and June Handley.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Ryser (Billy) of Wathena, Bryan Paden (Jody) of Wathena and Noel Halter (Bobby) of Wathena; her brother Phillip Forbes of Dallas; her grandchildren, Nathan Ryser (Shanna), Ryan Ryser (Melissa), Jessica Herbster (Tyler), Jared Paden (Korri), Bryce Paden (Hannah), Paden Halter (Taylor), Erica Rush (Luke) and Zachary Halter (Blair); and her great grandchildren, Saylor, Knox Ryser, Judah, Shiloh Ryser, Banks, Ryker, Rhett Herbster, Kolbi, Kacie, Joie Paden, Parker and Halle Paden.
