She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis C. Smith and Jewell E. Smith (Virdel); her sons, Larry Harpest and Kerry Harpest; and her siblings, Ben Smith, Sr., Ruby Jenkins, Peggy Merritt and Betty Jefferies.
She is survived by: her husband Alan; her children, Janett L. Scheunemann (Tom) of Lillington and Mark Harpest of Zanesfield; and her brother Jim Smith of The Colony. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
