The memory of Sharon Steenson of Waterville, Kansas, born in Oketo, Kansas, who passed away on October 28, 2024 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Sharon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Sharon farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper E. Burger and Grace Burger (Sperry); her husband Melvin J. Steenson; and her sister Karen. She is survived by: her sons, Barry Steenson (Jennifer) of Topeka, Brad Steenson (Rachael) of McPherson and Rodney "Bosh" Steenson (Amy) of Waterville; and her sister Bonnie Wallace (Bill) of Topeka. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Christie-Anderes Funeral Home (308 W Walnut St, Waterville, KS 66548). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Waterville United Methodist Church (103 E Main St, Waterville, KS 66548). A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (500 N Division Ave, Waterville, KS 66548).
