He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Beam and Stella Beam; his former spouse Gerry McCall; his daughter Marilyn; his wife Virginia Eddleman; and his stepdaughters, Mary Sawin and Geraldine Gibbs. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He also served as a trustee for the KSU Foundation.
