It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Dean Bartels (Washington, Kansas), who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bartels and Viola Bartels (Lohse); his stepfather Perry Lohse (Patricia L'Ecuyer Miller); his brother LeRoy Bartels; his brother-in-law Mert Bigham; and his stepdaughter Linda Miller Vacek.
He is survived by: his sister Jeanette Bigham of Topeka, KS; his nephews, Kent, Kevin Bigham, Ron, Matt, Clint and Bill Bartels; his niece Jana Bartels; and his stepchildren, Judy Nold, Jerry Miller, Richard Miller, Pat Livingston, Chris Miller, Tony Miller, Diana Cecrle, Jane Rhine, Matt Miller and Ed Miller.
