He was predeceased by: his parents, Doss Welch and Ella Mae Welch (Peterson); his wife Alberta Corbin; his son Donald Welch; his son-in-law Ron Clay; his brother Verlin Welch; and his granddaughter Katie Welch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia, Jill (Jerry) and Cindi Clay; and his sisters, Donna Wichman and Anita Wells. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
