She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Benne and Eva M. Benne (Gwin); her husband Floyd Vernon Elder; her children, Leslie, Nancy Marie Tice, Jolene Elizabeth Thompson and Robert "Bobby" Elder; her siblings, Florence Freas and Don Benne; and her great grandchild Carter Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, Les Elder (Judy) of Fairbury, NE and Sandra Martin (Eddie); and her sister Olive Sullivan of Burlington, IA. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
