Samuel L. McGowan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel L. McGowan (Wamego, Kansas), who passed away on March 19, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Samuel L. McGowan to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Elizabeth Fairchild Johnson (Cassity). He is survived by: his wife Sally; his sons, Paul Cassity (Tena) of Hartford, KS, John Cassity (Cindy) of Alma, KS and James Cassity (Karen) of Grayslake, IL; and his grandchildren, Wyatt Fairchild (Jesse), Maggie Fairchild, Josh Johnson, Cole Cassity (DiShannon), Cord Cassity (Alexus), Nikki Cassity, Dakota Cassity, Alison Cassity (Joe), Emily Cassity, Sadie Cassity and Cade Cassity. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home (4370 Salzer Rd, Wamego, KS 66547). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
