With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Riat of Wamego, Kansas, born in Belvue, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2024 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis Riat to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest "Max" Prickett and Marguerite F. Prickett (Welch); her husband Kenneth Edward Riat; her daughter Christine Marie Thornburg; and her sisters, Esther Adams and Joanne Hoogstraten.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Riat (Rachele) of Belvue, KS, Mike Riat (Sandy) of Belvue, KS, David Riat (Betsy) of Homosassa, FL and Linda Shove-Morgan (Rick) of Topeka, KS; her grandchildren, Bryon Shove (Sarah), Jason Shove (Chelsea), Morgan Riat (Haylee) and Erin Salemi (Amin); and her stepgrandchildren, Caleb Weddle, Michael Weddle (Carrie) and Missy Valentine (Nate). She is also survived by many loving great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
