He was predeceased by: his wife Kristine Brozovich Franklin; his parents, Walter Byron Franklin Jr. and Nancy Lee Franklin; and his brother Walter "Skip" Byron Franklin, III. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Franklin (Jessica) of Hillsdale and Jody Weis (Devin) of Wamego, Kansas; his grandchildren, Gianna, Guadalupe Franklin, Andrew and Clara Weis; and his siblings, Judy Hartley (James), J. Scott Franklin (Cindy) and Robert Franklin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
