He was predeceased by: his father Patt Buttermore; and his adoptive parents, Herbert Knutson and Helen Knutson. He is survived by: his former wife Deborah Karsmizki; his mother Connie Heffron (White); his partner Donette Carter; his sons, Kerry Knutson (Patricia) and Kelly Knutson (Jennifer); his partner's child Kacy Fairhurst (Tom); his children, Amie Overstreet (Lonnie) and Eric Carter; his half-siblings, Kim Saunders, Bruce Buttermore, Jackie Heffron, Mark Heffron, Jay Heffron and Kenny Heffron; and his grandchildren, Rhea Knutson, Alli Record, Devin Record, Robert Record, Nicole Hart, Caiden Hart, Cain Hart, Kerry Jr. Knutson, Theo Knutson and Lily Dulaney.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home (4370 Salzer Rd, Wamego, KS 66547). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
