She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Earl and Alice Coffman (Thompson); her great grandchild Josie Stuart; her son-in-law Gary Nigus; and her siblings, Johnie Coffman, Della Hartley, Mary Alice Coffman, Alberta "Red" Grauer, Cleo Coffman and Cecil Coffman.
She is survived by: her former spouse Willie "Bill" Sullivan; her husband Gary Thornton; her children, Russell Sullivan, Connie Yaussi Hiawatha (Alan), Barbara Welch (Doug), Brenda Buttron (Karl), Cathy Nigus (Robert Rork) and Andrea Green (Jim); her son-in-law Michael Donato (Randy Thornton); her grandchildren, Sean Yaussi (Ashley), Steven Welch (Jennifer), Josh Green (Amy), Avery Thornton, Rusty Sullivan, Carey Green (Mike), Kayla Martinez (Alex), Mindi Forkenbrock (Jeremy), Jamie Madison (Adam), Vanessa Roloff (Jason), Abbey Herrera (Agustin), Jake Nigus (Kayla Jo), Jessica Stuart (James), Cara Nigus, Joseph Nigus (Shania), Samantha Green and Zach Donato (Kristin); her sister Joyce Olberding (Eldon); and her siblings-in-law, Louie Gracheck, Loretta Puvogel (Leonard), Eileen Fleshman, MaryAnn Wenz, Linda Wagner (Dan), Stan Thornton (Brenda), Ed Fleshman and Don Wenz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home (4370 Salzer Rd, Wamego, KS 66547). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (17665 Old Post Rd, Wamego, KS 66547).
Memorial contributions may be made out to St. Bernard Catholic Church, Pottawatomie County EMS or Good Shepherd Hospice House and sent in care of the funeral home.
