It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen I. Taylor of Wamego, Kansas, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen I. Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clint Alexander and Winifred E. Alexander (Power); and her husband George "Fred" Taylor. She is survived by: her daughter Julie Duncan (Jeff) of Saint George, KS; her grandchildren, Taylor Schleif (Richard Benkendorf) of Wamego, KS, Danielle Hort (Craig) of New Salem, ND and Trevor Duncan of Saint George, KS; her great grandchildren, Hunter Schleif, Waylon Hort, Ellison Hort, Lorelai Hort, Charlotte Benkendorf and Cori Hort; and her brother Richard "Alex" Alexander of Topeka, KS..
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home (1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of Helen, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Helen Taylor Memorial Fund, by making checks payable to the Helen Taylor Memorial Fund, or to the Good Shepard Hospice House.
