It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colleen Mae Christiansen Fox Augustin of Walnut, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Christiansen and Winona Christiansen (Canny); her former husband Charles Granville Fox, Sr.; her spouse Bennie Carol Augustin, Sr.; her siblings, Jewell McKinney, Edward Christiansen, Harlan Christiansen, Elmer Christiansen and Gary Christiansen; and her son-in-law David Messenger.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Fox, Jr. (Linda) of Walnut, Lee Jay Fox (Rose) of Chanute, Roger Fox (Kristina Chaney) of Walnut, Bennie Augustin, Jr. (Sabrina) of Walnut, Patty Fox Brewster of Overland Park, Becky Messinger of Girard, Vicki Augustin Small (David) of Olathe and Peggy McAtee (Richard) of St. Paul; and her sisters, Christina Main of Columbus, Karlene Brumback (Steve) of Columbus and Judy Hughes of Baxter Springs. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home (518 W St John St, Girard, KS 66743). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
