With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John R. Hurley of Wallace, Kansas, born in Phoenix, Arizona, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on November 4, 2024 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hurley and Alene E. Hurley (Whiteman); his wife Phyllis Collins Magwire; his brother Gary Hurley; his son Darrel Magwire; and his son-in-law Kennan Bussen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Hurley (Teresa) and Lark Harvey (Dave); his former wife Donna Degurse; and his children, John D. Hurley (Rudie), Marc L. Hurley (Karen), Justin R. Hurley (Amanda), Debbie Bussen, Boone Magwire (Donna) and Dana Magwire. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (306 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846).
