It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emerson Ballentine of Wallace, Kansas, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Humphrey Barber and Ermma Neoma Langdon; his wife Virginia Beckner of Goodland; his granddaughter Tina; his children, Charles Leon Ballentine (Charina) of Philippines, Tina Waterman (Scott) of Oberlin, Sonney Ballentine (Barb) of Wallace, Corey Ballentine (Tara) of Wallace, Daniel Ballentine (Marilyn) of Wallace, James Ballentine (Cassandra) of Wallace and Damon Rickard (Cassy); his sister Julie Craig; his brothers-in-law, Bob Beckner (Dorothy) and Jerry (Gwen); his sister Connie Carpenter; and his grandson J. Michael. He was also cherished by 28 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
