He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Cook (Frank) and Lucille Cook (Polifka); and his brother Francis Cook. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Kathleen Struss; his sons, Tate Cook (Bridget) of WaKeeney and Miles Cook (Amy) of Collyer; his grandchildren, Mikayla Decatur (Brandon), Skylar Wittman, Tatum Cook, Hayden Cook and Carson Cook; his great grandchild Slade Decatur; and his siblings, Thomas Cook of Kansas City, Gerald Cook of Omaha and Mary Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be used according to their wishes and can be sent to the care of Schmitt Funeral Home.
