He was predeceased by: his father Caleb Phillips; his former wife Betty Ann Sellers of Florence, KS; his sister Ella May; his mother Agnes Phillips (Henley); and his wife Pat (Faught).
He is survived by: his children, Sue Ahlquist (Tracy) of Onaga, KS, Janet Fletcher (Jeff) of Kechi, KS, Sarah Simon (Brad) of Hoxie, KS, John Phillips (Julie) of Lees Summit, MO and Chad Phillips of Soldier, KS; his stepsons, Steve Crawford (Rebecca) of Greenville, IL and Alan Crawford (Cara) of Latham, MO; and his siblings, Bill, Raymond of WaKeeney, KS and Ardath Briscoe Brough of Kansas City, MO.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grand children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care through Schmitt Funeral Home.
