She was predeceased by: her parents, Lulu Holforty (Swanner) and Charles Holforty; her siblings, Earl and Anna; her son Kim I. Peterson; and her husband Robert I. Peterson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Frazee of Topeka, Laurie Peterson of Wakarusa, KS and Susan Breckenridge (Robert) of Cameron, MO; and her grandchildren, Michael Peterson of Oregon, James Garcia (Erika) of Topeka, KS, Katie Schell (Trent) of Kansas City, MO, Lacy Coy (Jason) of Kansas City, MO, Ashleigh Hill (Alex) of Gardener, KS, Becca Frazee (Ben Esau) of Topeka Kansas and Morgan Weidemann (Gary) of Kansas City, MO.. She is also survived by wife and mother, or doting on her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
