He was predeceased by: his parents, William Beard and Florence Beard (Greene); his brother Alan "Pete" Beard; his brother-in-law Arthur Bush; and his grandchildren, Diamolynne Jene "D. J." and Russell "Turtle" Beard.
He is survived by: his former wife Grace N. Bright; his child Lywn; his former wife Rose Ann Gardner; his wife Pam Dudley; his children, Hester Beard of Lineville, Regina Smith (Chris) of Creston and Russell "Rusty" Beard (Jamie Caldwell) of Iberia, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jordan Fields (Miranda), Christelle Forrest (Josh), Robert, Meadow Meacham, Alex (Kasey), Ian Smith, Sophia Beard, Andrew, Caleb Caldwell, Benjamin and Olivia Beard; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel Fields, Scarlette and Amaryllis Forrest. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
