Though Joseph Austin has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sylvia Moody (Alcorn); and his brother-in-law Marvin Good. He is survived by: his father Joseph A. Moody, Sr.; his wife Wanda Moody; his children, Janel Kaufman (Keith) of Paola, Kansas, Chad Bloomer (Kari) of Ottawa, Kansas and Stephanie Hays (Becci) of Baldwin City, Kansas; and his sisters, Vicky Good and Susie Wallis (Russel) of Ottawa, Kansas. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (524 E 15th St, Ottawa, KS 66067).
