He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Adlai "Alvin" and Gracie Rose Combs Thompson; his wife Mary Kathryn Thomas; his children, Benjamin Thompson and Amanda Cordray (Eddie); and his siblings, Debbie Gerstner and Tom Thompson of Kansas. He was also cherished by four grandchildren.
