We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2024, at the age of 42, Ryon Michael Shepard of Valley Falls, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ryon Michael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George and Charlene Shepard; his aunt Susie Shepard (Tom Shepard); and his cousin Todd Golder. He is survived by: his parents, Mike Shepard (Dawn Shepard) of Valley Falls, KS and Linda Edwards of Topeka, KS; his siblings, Chelsey Coppinger (Jake Coppinger) of Winchester, KS and Josh Shepard of Valley Falls, KS; and his nieces and nephews, Baelyn Coppinger, Avery Coppinger and Rixton Coppinger. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barnett Family Funeral Home (1220 Walnut St, Oskaloosa, KS 66066). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Coal Creek United Methodist Church (410 Frazier St, Valley Falls, KS 66088).
